Waverly has started a penny war in which each classroom is collecting loose change to raise money for field trips, assemblies, and other school activities for Waverly students.
Each class has received an empty one gallon milk jug. Students are encouraged to bring in loose change (no cash allowed) to fill their classroom jug.
Competition ends on Monday, December 12th. The class that raises the most money will win a pizza party from the Waverly All Star Parents Club. The pizza party will be on Thursday December 15th during lunch time.
The winning class will be determined on how much money was earned not how full the jug is.
